The State of SIDS Report 2026 will be launched at the HLPF to spotlight the common agendas and actions needed for SIDS to progress the Antigua and Barbuda Agenda for SIDS (ABAS) and accelerate action on SDG targets. Description: The flagship 'State of SIDS Report' will provide a baseline for, and support the implementation of, the Antigua and Barbuda Agenda for SIDS 2024-2034 (ABAS). The report identifies key challenges, achievements and emerging issues for SIDS in building resilient prosperity. The side event will provide topline messages from the report, a deep dive into progress on securing a safe future for island populations (SDGs 7 and 9), and recommendations for how partners can help SIDS achieve this (SDG17).
